Do come and join us on Saturday 11 November 2023 where full explanation and demonstrations will be given with regard to these excellent healing treatments for horses. These treatments are being carried out at the Centre in Slinfold and many horses have benefitted already.
Moorcroft has been participating in sentinel research evaluating the use of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) as an alternative to the use of steroids to reduce the pain and treat lameness. The scientific rationale for the use of PRP as an autologous biological intervention using the concentrated growth factors and regenerative proteins contained in the platelets to stimulate tissue healing and regeneration. PRP treatment is well described and researched in the treatment of osteo-arthritis and tendon and ligament injuries.
