"I can't recommend Moorcroft highly enough. I came across Moorcroft, when I was searching Dr Sue Dyson , after watching 24 Behaviours of the Ridden Horse in Pain. Within a few days of my pony arriving and being assessed, Mary and her team had done a fantastic job in identifying specific areas in which was causing him discomfort and also the source of the problem. This was so much more information than I had ever gotten from my vets/farrier in well over a year of trying to figure out what was wrong with him. Mary regularly updates me and assesses my pony on how he's getting on and it is extremely pleasing to see the remarkable improvements. Their care and treatment is second to none, they are a professional and knowledgeable team, who are dedicated to helping these beautiful animals. There is a long road ahead in my pony's recovery, but I feel at ease now that I have the ongoing support from Moorcroft when I bring him home. I feel very lucky to have come across Moorcroft and am forever grateful for them helping my boy."

Great Experience

“My warmblood was having problems making comfortable canter transitions and was becoming quite difficult to ride. I chose to ask Moorcroft’s help and my horse stayed there for 8 weeks. It was a great experience where I got so much confidence-giving help with my schooling and some Veterinary advice and physiotherapy and I have a greater understanding of my horses problems and have come away very happy indeed with a much better horse. I would not hesitate to go back again if needed and wish I could have stayed longer.”

Thank You

“I came to Moorcroft for help last year and have not left. I had lost my confidence in myself and in my horse and was confused. I had had a bad fall and was nervous. Mary and her team got my horse going again, they explained the discomfort he was in and that was sorted and then they helped me back to confidence. Seeing him ridden regularly by the team there helped me to see and understand that he was not being naughty but had been uncomfortable and was expressing that. I have truly learned a lot about him and about my riding and I feel I am improving all the time now. The atmosphere is quiet and calm, and all the horses are settled. Schooling sessions and hacks are calm and trouble free. Nothing is too much trouble and the horses do come first”

Re-backing My Young Horse

“My 4yr old had some time off and needed to be re-backed. I was not sure I could do it on my own so I asked Mary and her team at Moorcroft to help. Their indoor school is a great place for horses to gain confidence and concentrate and the team are always helpful, calm and very experienced. My horse spent 10 weeks there and developed real muscle and strength very quickly and came away a well-established horse going calmly. I go back regularly for help and would recommend most highly. Thank you .”

Highly Recommended

“I first approached Mary at Moorcroft when I needed help with my horse following treatment to his hocks. Mary's vast experience and expertise also helped diagnose suspensory ligament problems and he subsequently had surgery. A rehabilitation training programme of long-reining was implemented for him and he was carefully brought back into ridden work. The knowledge, expertise, care and support at the Centre is second to none. They have helped me tremendously and they come very highly recommended. I have also since gone on to re-home one of the ex-racehorses and am having a wonderful partnership with him.”
