Dr Sue Dyson -  Moorcroft - Scientific Advisor

Dr Sue Dyson - Moorcroft Chief Veterinary Advisor

We wish to announce that we are opening our doors to all breeds of horses who need experienced rehabilitation, although we will always look after and help ex-racehorses.

Dr Sue Dyson, who has helped us much in the past, has agreed to be our Scientific Advisor as we embark on this progressive road to help as many equines as we can. There is much experience at Moorcroft, which we wish to put to good use and we always use excellent Vets and Physiotherapists as all horses deserve the best care and experienced knowledge that we can find.

Much help is available and Dr Sue Dyson comes with a vast expanse of knowledge with many different horses. As a rider herself, she really understands how horses feel and react when they are not comfortable or are in pain. Horses are very stoic and to survive in the wild, they learn to hide their pain as this shows weakness and vulnerability to other species.

We relish the opportunity to help as many horses as we can to a better, more comfortable life, and to help as many caring owners to better understand what they are feeling and what their horses are saying to them.

Call Mary if you need to know more about how we can help on 07929 666408.

Thank You To Support Adoption For Pets

Grey Horse - Moorcroft Equine Racehorse Welfare Centre

Huge thanks to Support Adoption for Pets for their generous grant which will be used to help us continue our important work here at Moorcroft in re-schooling and re-training the horses in our care.  With everything currently happening in the world, we are very aware that charities like ours are struggling for financial support and grants like this are incredibly important.

We thank the good people at this organisation from the bottom of our heart and hope they know how truly helpful this grant will be to us right now. Our donations have dropped severly and revenue from the Demonstrations and the courses that we run regularly has stopped completely in line with Government advice.

Thank you to Support Adopton For Pets from all at Moorcroft.
